OCM are experts in the safe, secure and responsible disposal of unwanted IT & EPoS assets, data destruction and IT collection.
For three decades OCM has a built a reputation on successfully providing high quality IT disposal services, uniquely tailored to our clients’ needs. As a result, our experienced team have become the first choice IT asset management partner of banks and financial institutions, major retailers, multi-nationals, government departments and public sector organisations like Sanctuary Housing.
In addition to providing IT Lifecycle Management to clients – ensuring IT assets have extended life - OCM are also supporting them in achieving their own sustainable goals. Whether clients have a clear CSR objective or are working towards net zero themselves, OCM are able to support businesses in delivering their objectives.
For example, the team are able to provide sustainable IT Lifecycle Management – including an audit from start to finish – which can support clients in reducing their own carbon footprint and wider net zero targets. Indeed, on behalf of one client, OCM have donated over 16,000 assets to hundreds of organisations since 2021 plus deliver a bespoke Staff Sales Incentive Scheme.
OCM are also committed to working with their clients on an ongoing basis to support their CSR initiatives. The team work together with the clients to donate refurbished IT hardware to local, regional, national and global charitable causes for organisations.
The very nature of their business means that OCM are working at the heart of a sustainability: to recondition, recycle and resell unwanted equipment, ensuring its life is extended. This sustainable lifecycle includes the conservation of natural resources such as copper, gold, and silver. These natural resources are harvested, meaning that OCM can turn your rubbish into eco-friendly technology.
The sorting of components and materials is handled in-house by the OCM team – who have been established since 1984 - before being sent to recycling partners for further destruction and processing.
In addition, the energy OCM use to recondition and recycle is generated from solar panels on their roof, which has reduced their usage considerably since their install in May 2024. OCM have 239 solar panels that generate 95kWp of electricity, to minimise what they draw from the national grid.
